  1. Smooth Command Help Information    *

  3. The Smooth command is used to create
  4. a  nice  even  downhill  slope  from
  5. taller contours to shorter contours.
  6. The  Smooth  command operates on two
  7. endpoint contours.
  8.  
  9. The Smooth command is typically used
  10. in conjunction with the Set command.
  11. The Set command can be used  to  set
  12. the  two endpoint contour's heights.
  13. The Smooth command is used to change
  14. the  heights   of  the  contours  in
  15. between.
  16.  
  17. Here are the typical steps for using
  18. the Smooth command:
  19.  
  20.   1. Set contour "A"'s height  using
  21.      the Set command.
  22.  
  23.   2. Set contour "B"'s height  using
  24.      the Set command.
  25.  
  26.   3. Press the Smooth command gadget.
  27.  
  28.   4. Press contour "A"'s pen gadget.
  29.  
  30. The results of  the  Smooth  command
  31. depends  on  contour  "A"  and "B"'s
  32. contour number, and their heights.
  33.  
  34. If  the   contour   with  the  lower
  35. contour  number  is  taller than the
  36. contour with the higher number, then
  37. the contours in between have a  nice
  38. downhill  slope  that   depends   on
  39. height  difference    between    the
  40. contour "A" and contour "B".

  42. If  the   contour  with  the  higher
  43. contour  number  is  taller than the
  44. other contour, the  contours  height
  45. is decrease by one.
